The Department of Housing creates a bag of rental housing (19/10/2016)

Moratalla City Council on a proposal from the Department of Housing has approved the creation of a stock of rental housing.

According Candi Marin, councilor responsible for the area, this bag is created with the purpose of intermediating in the private rental market boosting its development in the municipality and thereby facilitate the temporary access of citizens to rental housing privately owned, unoccupied and good living conditions.

Temporary housing in rental housing is a low-cost means to prevent and avoid situations of social exclusion.

On the other hand aims to boost the rent in the old town area is in recent years is being uninhabited.

The homes offered in this bag must meet minimum requirements, optimal living conditions, full kit in the kitchen, high in water supplies and electricity.

The rental price does not exceed 250 euros.

People who want to access housing through this bag must prove a minimum financial solvency but can also be credited with a guarantor.

In personal situations or serious economic partner is the City Council which will serve as joint and several guarantor.

This proposal was debated and voted in the last regular full of September and was approved by a majority but with the abstention of the Popular Party.

With this attitude the Popular Party spokesman demonstrates the low sensitivity to the serious problems of many citizens to access housing and forget the obligation of all public representatives to meet the Spanish constitution which includes in one of its articles are public authorities to promote the necessary measures to implement this law.
