Cajamar Foundation in collaboration with the Department of Environment of the City of Moratalla started last November 15, 2010 an Environmental Regeneration experimental test using new technology on a plot of the landfill of Chirrín.

With this project and others previously launched, as was the planting of 500 pine trees in this area, the Department of Environment Moratalla City Council intends to start full recovery of landfill environmental regeneration actions

The aim of the project is manifold, the application of biodegradable pots, the use of organo-zeolite amendment, and the behavior of hardened plants to adapt to semiarid climate.
