The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia and the Local Police of Moratalla, within the framework of services aimed at preventing and prosecuting drug trafficking, have developed an inspection in a public establishment in Moratalla that has resulted in the arrest of five people as alleged perpetrators of drug trafficking crime.
During the performance, which is framed in the 'Plan against retail traffic and consumption of drugs in leisure areas' of the Benemérita, has seized around fifty doses of cocaine hidden in the premises and arranged for distribution and consumption.
Members of the Civil Guard and the Local Police of Moratalla coordinated to carry out an inspection in a public establishment in Moratalla.
The action was planned with the purpose of verifying a series of irregularities that were allegedly taking place in the premises.
As a result of the inspection carried out, the agents verified the existence of a large amount of smoke, smell of tobacco and cigarette butts in the ground.
It was also observed that several of the clients make concealment gestures, for which they underwent a superficial search that allowed finding several packages with alleged cocaine.
During the inspection, there were also indications of drug use inside the toilet of the establishment, such as the existence of various empty paper sheets lying on the floor and traces of narcotic substance in the toilet furniture, which allowed to verify that it was the consumption of local customers.
Given the facts detected and the attitude of nervousness that showed the employees of the premises, the agents inspected the work area of â€‹â€‹the establishment and found in the inner area of â€‹â€‹the bar, hidden in boxes of alcoholic beverages, a large number of doses of cocaine prepared for its imminent distribution and consumption.
It was also verified that the waiters carried a large amount of money, which made it possible to suspect the presumed involvement of the employees and the manager of the premises in the discovered criminal activity.
Citizen collaboration has been crucial for the development of the action, which has culminated with five people arrested, as alleged perpetrators of crime of drug trafficking, and the seizure of a considerable amount of narcotic substances.
The detainees, the drug apprehended, the recovered effects and the diligences instructed have been made available to the Court of Instruction of Caravaca de la Cruz (Murcia).
