Intercultural gastronomy days end (20/12/2016)

Candi Marín, Councilor for Social Policy and Mayor of Moratalla, together with Francisca Meca, Social Assistance and Amparo, a member of the Abraham Project, deliver the diplomas of the Intercultural Gastronomy Days held in Moratalla.

Last Thursday, the Intercultural Gastronomy Days ended, with the Moroccan gastronomy as a closure.

Thanks to the ambassadors of the different cultures: Spanish, Saharawi, South American and Moroccan, we have been able to discover throughout these four intense days of coexistence the most deeply rooted customs and traditions of each of these cultures.

The people in attendance have been able to taste the rags and atascaburras (gastronomy Moratallera), rice with chicken and vegetable sauce and beef steaks with potato chips and salad, and teas (Saharaui gastronomy), tuna encebollado and dry chicken (South American cuisine) and Couscous with chicken and vegetables and veal with prunes, almonds and egg, bread, teas and sweets (Moroccan gastronomy).

A gastronomic display that results in a true coexistence, union and the beginning of new friendships.
