The City of Moratalla, from the Department of Social Policy organizes training workshops for the elderly.
This training will be provided by Tunstall-Televida, company in charge of providing the Tele-assistance service in the municipality.
With these workshops, it is mainly intended to promote the physical, mental and social well-being of older people, as well as to achieve their participation in society according to their needs, abilities and desires.
During the month of October will be taught in Moratalla and pedanías the following workshops:
- "Relaxation" workshop, designed to provide elderly people with different methods of anxiety control as well as control negative thoughts that allow them to reach a state of greater emotional balance.
It will take place in the Sabinar and Benizar Social Hall on 5 and 6 October respectively.
- Workshop "Active Mind", whose objective is mind and body care.
This will deal with topics such as daily forgetfulness, strategies to train memory and other cognitive abilities that will improve cognitive performance.
It will take place in Moratalla on October 19 at the Pensioner's Home.
- Workshop "Waking up with a smile. Habits for a good rest", intended to provide a set of recommendations and suggestions to perform during the day, which will help prepare us to have a good night sleep.
It will be given on October 26 at the Pensioner's Home in Moratalla.
