Awards of the educational contests against violence against women (01/12/2010)

November 27 saw the presentation of the first Plan for Equal Opportunities between Women and Men, and the awards ceremony of the Second Drawing Contest II Contest coeducational and phrases for Equality, for primary and secondary school respectively.

The Department of Women and the Equality Authority unveil the two great icons that underpin the corporate image of all the actions scheduled in this I Equalities Plan.

These icons, M and H, differentiated by its typography, respectively represent all moratalleras and moratalleros, thus showing that although there are obvious differences between men and women, we all fight together to change the reality of our municipality in terms of Equality.

Areas and targets to promote equal opportunities between women and men in Moratalla are:

Equality and education: achieving equality of opportunity between women and men.

HEALTH AND QUALITY OF LIFE: Promoting and improving the overall health of women.

TRAINING AND EMPLOYMENT: Incorporation and stability of the women in the workplace to enhance their economic and social autonomy.

RECONCILIATION OF WORKING LIFE AND FAMILY: Reconciling work and family life of women and men of Moratalla.

GENDER VIOLENCE: Comprehensive approach to the social problems of violence against women.

CULTURE, LEISURE AND SPORT: Promotion of the presence of women in cultural and sports life of the municipality.

After presenting the contents of the Equality Plan I saw the award of educational contests.

The winner of the second drawing competition was co-educational College Lorena López Martínez del CRA "El Sabinar" which earned a diploma and a check of 100 € redeemable for school supplies.

His school was presented with a lot of stories about values education.

M ª Carmen López Guerrero's "Jesus Aparecido College" was the winner of the II Contest Phrases for Equality with the message "If you scream, run. If abuses you, scream. If you love your life, complaint."

Was awarded a diploma and a check of 120 € to redeem for school supplies or computer.

Moreover, it was given an award for participation in the contest phrases Avelina Rico Martinez of "Jesus Aparecido College."
