The head of the Ministry of the Presidency, Manuel Campos, held a meeting with the mayor of Moratalla, Antonio Garcia, who was accompanied by Council of Agriculture and Environment, Juan Pascual Soria, and Planning, New Technology, Planning infrastructure, Ventura Guerrero.

The meeting discussed issues related to public safety and the environment, in particular the Integrated Management Plan of the Natura 2000 Protected Areas Northwest, whose processing is achieving a broad consensus, and forest restoration projects to be held in the municipality.

Among these highlights of 1,457,122 euros investment for reforestation of the area burned in the fire resulted in the Sierra del Salmerón last July.

Also, the Minister informed the mayor that will finance a series of grants to private forest owners in this town led to the Natura 2000 network and the fight against desertification and fire prevention project with a total budget of 1,236. 623 euros.
