A doctoral thesis from the University of Murcia says that young people take Moratalla few carbohydrates and many proteins (26/01/2016)

Young people Moratalla consume carbohydrates, fiber and fatty acids below the recommended figures, while, on the other hand, exceed those recommended for proteins and lipids, as reflected in the doctoral thesis by Juan Felix Lopez Delgado in University of Murcia (UMU).

This research, conducted at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, also notes that 25 percent of adolescents in the municipality consume alcohol at least once a week, the second being the snuff cardiovascular risk factor .

33 percent of young people tested for the realization of the doctoral thesis, which has been rated as outstanding cum laude, presents more than one of these risk factors, being the most prevalent, especially in sedentary women.

The dissertation recommends the addition to secondary education, if not before, a program aimed at getting a better power to prevent these cardiovascular risk factors.

The study was led by university professors Llamas Francisca Perez, Juan Carlos Baraza Laliga and Manuel Aviles Conesa.
